Let's see how many people we can get to commit to giving a book to a child by February 14th!
Also, if you would like to donate a bajillion books to The Book Bus or Books for Africa, design a bookplate or a lovelier header for this website, or organize a fleet of biblioburros to bring books to kids throughout the world, we will work with you. We look forward to hearing from you!

Luis is my hero! Love the work that he and his burros do! I was lucky enough to meet him in person last year at the Asian Festival of Children's Literature in Singapore and only wish I had brought my copy of Biblioburro by Jeanette Winter for him to sign. Another great picture book that was inspired by Luis is Monica Brown's Waiting for the Biblioburro.
ReplyDeleteHello, Found your site and delighted to learn about your 14 Feb plans. Spread the love on St Valentine's and give the joy of reading to a child! I write kids books and I'm giving one of my titles to a friend who is travelling to an school in Nepal who desperately need books. I have also given copies of school libraries in my area as well as mailing copies to my old High school back in the UK! I've dug out all my kids old books and donated them to playschools as well as doctor waiting rooms.
